UK insurers to save up to £320mn from Ogden rate increase

Today’s 50-basis-point increase in the Ogden discount rate will reduce the total value of compensation payments by between £310mn and £400mn ($389mn and $503mn) a year, according to an impact assessment released by the Ministry of Justice.
