ICA pegs Townsville flood losses at $815mn

The Townsville flooding in northern Queensland earlier this year is set to cost insurers A$1.2bn ($815mn), A$200mn more than the last industry loss estimate from Perils, according to the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA).
