ICA reports $219mn hailstorm claims as fire losses near $1bn

The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has pegged the losses from hailstorms in Melbourne, New South Wales (NSW) and the region around Australian capital Canberra on Sunday and Monday at A$320mn ($219mn) and declared the incident a catastrophe.
