Hamilton Re has appointed RenaissanceRe’s Athena Tolosa CFO.
The executive replaces Chad Cundliffe, who is retiring to move home to Canada with his family. Tolosa will report to Hamilton Re CEO Megan Thomas and group chief accounting officer Brian Deegan.
Tolosa joins the company from RenRe, where she has worked for the past five years, latterly as head of finance for reinsurance.
In a career spanning 18 years she has also spent 11 years at Tokio Millennium Re, having begun her career in consulting.
Thomas said: “Athena’s appointment is an excellent addition to Hamilton and I look forward to working closely with her.
“She has an accomplished financial background with an impressive track record in the industry.”
