PCS expands Global Terror Index to include SRCC

Data analytics firm PCS has expanded its Global Terror Index to include coverage of losses from strike, riots, civil commotion and civil unrest (SRCC).

It will tally SRCC events that cost more than $100mn.

PCS said that the SRCC enhancement would provide a systematic way to measure the frequency and severity of SRCC events as they have escalated.
