Aviva CEO Amanda Blanc was questioned yesterday by the UK's Treasury Committee on her perspective on sexism in the City of London, and called some of the stories she had heard of misogyny in the workplace “absolutely appalling”.

The ‘Sexism in the City’ inquiry, launched in July of this year, was set up by a Treasury committee to examine the barriers faced by women in financial services and the progress made in removing gender pay gaps.
