African Specialty Risks (ASR) has been granted in-principle approval from the Lloyd’s council to launch a syndicate in 2024.

The pan-African (re)insurance group will launch the syndicate with Apollo Syndicate Management.

The approval is subject to further financial and operational work undertaken by all new entrants to the Lloyd’s market, which is required to obtain final approval and permission...
