Admiral to purchase RSA personal lines operations

Admiral has agreed to purchase RSA’s UK direct personal lines operations, equating to approximately £165mn ($207.6mn) of annual premiums.

RSA, a subsidiary of Canadian insurer Intact Financial Corporation, will transfer renewal rights, brands and employees to Admiral.

RSA will retain the claim reserves, which will be run off over time.
