Aviation war capacity ‘is much healthier’ than in 2022: WTW

Hard market conditions for both hull war and AVN52 liability war (AVN52E) have resulted in new entrants in the market, meaning “capacity is much healthier than it was a year ago”, according to WTW’s Q4 2023 Airline Insurance Market Renewal Outlook.

John Rooley, CEO of global aerospace, and John Wadhams, managing director, client relationship management, said the “significant increases” the hull war market experienced last year have “subsided, with capacity fuelling a slide in rating”.
