Fitch Ratings has revised Swiss Re's outlook from 'stable' to 'positive' and affirmed the carrier's insurer financial strength rating of A+ and long-term issuer default rating of A.

According to the ratings agency, the revision reflected Swiss Re's “strongly improved” financial performance, capitalisation and leverage.
