IGI has exposure to Israel-Hamas war, no ‘material losses’ expected: CEO Jabsheh

Bermuda (re)insurer International General Insurance’s (IGI) has exposure to the war between Israel and Palestine but does not “expect any material losses arising from the situation as it stands”, CEO Waleed Jabsheh said on the carrier’s Q3 earnings call.

Last month, political violence and terrorism (PVT) underwriters told Insurance Insider that they were closely watching developments from attacks in Israel and Gaza with some estimating that there is up to $15bn of exposure on-risk locally.
