Most insured losses from Hurricane Otis are anticipated to stem from hotels and some government infrastructure accounts, as the first industry estimates are beginning to emerge amid a slow filter-through of loss information from the ground.

Otis made landfall near Acapulco in Mexico on October 25, after intensifying from a tropical storm into a Category 5 hurricane in less than 12 hours.
