Hiscox increases top line by 5.5% YTD to $3.8bn

Hiscox reported a 5.5% increase in insurance contract written premiums (ICWP) over the first three quarters to $3.76bn, including a 12.2% rise in top line for its London market division.

On a constant currency basis, the top line growth would have been 6.8% for the group.

The carrier said that aggregate natural catastrophe losses year to date are within budget despite an "active" third quarter.
