Swiss Re takes Q3 $151mn net reserve charge over casualty concerns

Swiss Re has disclosed a net figure of $151mn in prior-year development for the third quarter, as it continues to bolster its reserves for casualty reinsurance.

The move comes after the carrier reported 1.2 points of adverse prior-year development at the mid-year point, mainly due to changing casualty assumptions.
