Mapfre Re non-life 9M profit doubles despite EUR100mn Turkish quake impact

Mapfre Re reported a nine-month non-life profit of EUR232.4mn ($245.5mn), more than double that of the prior-year period, despite recording a EUR100mn net impact from the Turkish earthquake in February.

Better investment results and higher earned premium income lifted the non-life result.
