London-based United Insurance Brokers (UIB) is set to open a new operation in Miami as the (re)insurance intermediary continues expanding in Latin America, this publication has learned.

UIB has hired Francisco Torres as CEO of the South Florida unit, which will oversee the LatAm region along with the firm’s offices in Colombia, Brazil and Peru.
