SiriusPoint International has hired Stephen Smyth from Travelers to work as head of marine and active underwriter for Syndicate 1945 as it looks to expand its London marine offering.

The carrier already underwrites marine insurance and reinsurance via global platforms, and is planning to expand its offering through the London and Lloyd’s branch, targeting cargo and specie business.
