Ardonagh has agreed a deal to merge its personal lines broking arm – Atlanta – with Markerstudy to create a UK personal lines giant that controls over £3bn of premiums ($3.7bn) and has more than £200mn of Ebitda.

The companies announced the transaction this morning following months of bilateral talks, confirming a story from this publication trailing the deal in May.
