InsurTech Renew Risk, whose modelling software enables (re)insurers to understand the risks of insuring offshore wind farms, has raised £1.7mn ($2.1mn) in a seed funding round led by Insurtech Gateway.

London-based Renew Risk provides its software-as-a-service [SaaS) to insurers, reinsurers, brokers, banks and offshore wind farm developers. It deploys modelling driven by deep data science to support the financing, planning and insurance coverage of the offshore infrastructure.
