S&P Global Ratings has revised its outlook for Munich Re from stable to positive and affirmed its AA- issuer credit and insurer financial strength ratings.

The upgrade reflects the rating agency's view that Munich Re will defend its “excellent competitive position” and conservative capital management over the next two years.
