Lancashire will launch a US operation at the beginning of 2024 as it looks to target business within its risk appetite which it currently cannot access.

Group head of specialty insurance Huw Jones has been appointed as CEO of Lancashire Insurance US, which will begin underwriting in 2024, subject to regulatory approval.
