Beazley 2022 combined ratio improves by 10 points under IFRS 17

Beazley’s combined ratio for 2022 was reduced by 10 points to 79% under IFRS 17 due to the removal of non-directly attributable expenses and the introduction of discounting cashflows, the company announced today.

The carrier said profits before tax – as at 30 June and 31 December 2022 – increased due to the changes, driven by the discounting of cashflows.
