The UK is now home to around 280 InsurTechs which have a combined enterprise value of around $21bn, according to a McKinsey report that has for the first time unearthed statistics on the size and shape of the UK’s InsurTech market.

The study depicts how the UK has cemented its reputation as an epicentre for innovation for the insurance industry, with discoveries for example that London has the same number of InsurTech unicorns as the rest of Europe combined.
