Aviva predicts £700mn H1 operating profit and lays out IFRS 17 impact

Aviva has predicted group operating profits of around £700mn ($906mn) for the first half of the year as it laid out additional guidance to aid the understanding of the company’s financials when it transitions to the IFRS 17 accounting standards.

The figure compares with £661mn in the prior-year period.

Meanwhile, for the whole of 2023, the company expects group operating profit to grow 5%-7% from £1.35bn
