AM Best withdraws the long-term ICR of R&Q, keeps Accredited on review

AM Best has kept its review on the A- rating of R&Q’s fronting carrier Accredited as it downgraded and withdrew the issuer credit rating (ICR) of legacy holding company R&Q Insurance Holdings.

An R&Q spokesperson said the firm withdrew from the ratings process as R&Q had only used the status to support its build-out of the fronting entity, which is in the process of being carved out of the group.
