Perils has estimated the industry loss for the floods that struck the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy in May at EUR377mn ($410mn).

The Italian government has estimated that the total economic loss of the flooding will be around EUR9bn, with around 50% of that due to damage to public infrastructure.
