Antares Re reports 17% drop in 2022 GWP as losses widen to $521mn

Antares Reinsurance Company has reported losses of $521.4mn for the year ending 31 December 2022, up from the $176mn loss reported in 2021, according to a filing with the Bermuda Monetary Authority.

The Bermuda-based carrier also saw its gross written premiums (GWP) shrink by 17% to $854.5mn in 2022, down from $1.03bn
