International General Insurance (IGI) CEO and founder Wasef Jabsheh is to become executive chairman of the company and be succeeded as CEO by current president Waleed Jabsheh.

The move will follow a succession plan the company put in place in 2020, when IGI went public.

Wasef Jabsheh, as executive chairman, will oversee the strategic direction of the carrier.
