‘Contradictory climate factors’ could lead to active hurricane season: TSR’s Lea

The emergence of Tropical Storm Bret could signal a more active hurricane season than initially forecast, Dr Adam Lea, assistant forecaster and Tropical Storm Risk (TSR) manager, told this publication.

“It’s very early in the season for storms to form in the open tropical Atlantic and it’s the furthest east developing storm in the region on record for June,” Lea said.
