Guy Carpenter has proposed an enhanced ILS structure, a Climate Resilient Development bond (CRD bond), intended to support financial resilience and prevent losses from climate risks by drawing in philanthropic capital.

The structure envisages three classes of investor that would provide capital that is either entirely risk-based or predominantly project-funding oriented.
