PizzaExpress' £260mn Covid-19 BI claim has been rejected by the High Court, in a further victory for insurers on the issue of claims aggregation.

The restaurant chain had lodged a claim against Axa and Liberty Mutual consisting of £82mn under its “at the premises” clause, and a further £178mn through the “prevention of access” wording, following enforced shutdowns during the pandemic.
