QBE has become the ninth major insurance carrier to quit the Net-Zero Insurance Alliance (NZIA), adding to doubts over the future viability of the beleaguered initiative.

In today’s announcement, QBE provided no explanation for its withdrawal, saying only that it would continue working with stakeholders to deliver on its “broader sustainability strategy”.
