Industry veteran Michael Wade has been appointed as a director and chairman at Helios Underwriting, in addition to being appointed to a senior advisory post at Mitsui Sumitomo.

Wade has more than 40 years' experience in the insurance industry and the Lloyd's market, and is non-executive chairman at TigerRisk Capital Markets & Advisory, consultant to Brit Insurance and Ki, and senior adviser to Swiss Re.
