UN reaffirms commitment to climate collaboration following NZIA exits

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has reaffirmed its commitment to working with the insurance industry to deepen climate collaboration in the wake of several prominent exits from the Net-Zero Insurance Alliance (NZIA).

In its first public comments since carriers began exiting the alliance, UNEP said that there was an “urgent need for collaboration” in the insurance industry to tackle the climate crisis.
