Legacy firm Catalina has placed Singapore-based Asia Capital Re and its Irish subsidiary up for sale as it looks to streamline its operations following its life pivot earlier this year, this publication can reveal.

Sources said Catalina had retained Macquarie to advise on the sale of the two units, as it looks to reduce its footprint as part of its efforts to improve efficiency and free up capital for life deals.
