Aon has filed a lawsuit against Alliant and nine former executives, accusing them of taking 26 employees from its facultative reinsurance practice as well as confidential information and trade secrets.

Aon claimed the “unlawful raid” is an attempt to steal its “US facultative reinsurance broking business to gain entry into the reinsurance market and jumpstart the launch of Alliant Re, Alliant’s own reinsurance division”.
