Cyber claims frequency declined 22% year over year in 2022, driven mostly by a 54% drop in ransomware attacks, according to InsurTech Coalition.

The cyber MGA reported that funds transfer fraud (FTF), a less sophisticated crime, unseated ransomware as the leading event type, accounting for nearly a third of all claims.
