D&O claims to rise as misconduct investigations tick up 36% in past year: RPC

D&O insurers are expecting a rise in claims relating to misconduct reports as an increasing number of companies face investigations as operating conditions remain challenging, according to a report from law firm RPC.

RPC noted that investigations launched by the Insolvency Service into directors of insolvent companies had risen by 36% during 2022, partly driven by insolvency practitioners identifying more instances of fraud by directors of insolvent businesses.
