‘Dampening effect’ from updated war exclusions dissipating: Beazley’s Cox

The “dampening effect” updated war exclusions had on Beazley’s cyber portfolio has begun to dissipate, CEO Adrian Cox said this morning in a call with investors on Q1 results.

The carrier reported a 12% increase in gross written premium (GWP), at $1.37bn, in the first quarter of the year, which it attributed to the 56% increase in property GWP and 24% increase in cyber GWP.
