Ardonagh is in advanced talks with Markerstudy about merging its retail segment with the UK personal-lines firm to create a consumer distribution behemoth, this publication can reveal. 

Sources said serious talks are ongoing regarding a deal that would mean Ardonagh Retail and Markerstudy merging to create a UK business with more than £200mn ($252mn) of Ebitda.
