Independent Lloyd’s broker Cogent International has launched an operation in Colombia as it strengthens its footprint in South America.

Cogent Andina is led by Juan Carlos Prieto, who holds a stake in the venture and joined the brokerage after six years as VP at Butcher, Robinson & Staples (BRS).
