Hiscox will focus its reinsurance growth on increasing its net written premiums as it looks to continue relationships with highly rated, high-quality cedents, according to CEO Aki Hussain.

The executive said Hiscox was reversing a gradual reduction in net exposure during the soft market, and as third-party capital retreats, and is taking advantage to increase its exposure to highly rated business.
