Aspen reports UW income of $190mn and 93% combined ratio for 2022

Bermuda-based (re)insurer Aspen Insurance reported underwriting income of $190mn for 2022, a significant improvement on the $30mn loss reported the previous year.

The carrier also posted a combined ratio (CR) of 93%, trimming 8.2 points off its CR for the year, and an adjusted CR of 92.4%
