A significant hardening in the aviation reinsurance market made for tricky renewals at both the 1 January and 1 April renewals, according to the latest edition of Gallagher’s Plane Talking report.

The report also highlighted a return to strength for the airline market last year, with all risks insurance rates flat on average, with healthy premium growth coming off the back of increased exposures.
