Talbot Syndicate 1183 reported a combined ratio of 88.2% in 2022, the second consecutive year of strong underwriting profits, despite a high loss year due to Hurricane Ian and Ukraine.

The combined ratio was down 0.8 points from a figure of 83% in 2021, and below the Lloyd’s market average of 91.9%.
