Amwins pays ~$1bn dividend after tapping debt markets

Amwins has paid staff and institutional shareholders a dividend approaching $1bn, extending its track record of capital return to around $3bn since 2018, this publication understands.

The wholesale firm tapped debt markets in February for an $850mn term loan under its existing senior secured credit facilities in a demonstration that the debt markets are open for so-called dividend recaps despite a recent tightening of conditions.
