Intact and RSA exit £120mn UK personal lines motor business

Traffic jam in the city

Intact Financial Corporation and subsidiary RSA have exited the personal lines motor market, where the companies had a £120mn ($148mn) premium book, amid high competition in the UK personal lines space.

The firms said the move was aimed at improving the strength and sustainability of the UK and international business, where it is aiming to achieve a combined ratio in the low 90s.
