AerCap admits contact with Russian airlines over ‘potential settlements’

AerCap has been approached by Russian airlines about “potential insurance settlements” for some of its stranded aircraft, according to company executives.

In a call with analysts following the publication of its fourth-quarter results, the lessor’s CEO Aengus Kelly said it was “too early to know” whether anything would come of the contact.
