MS&AD considering overseas closures to boost profits: report

MS&AD Insurance Group is considering the closure of some of its overseas operations in a bid to improve profits and hit ROE targets, according to CEO Noriyuki Hara.

The executive said in an interview with Nikkei Asia that results so far in fiscal year 2022 indicate that the group is falling behind its medium-term goals, which include a groupwide ROE of 10% and overseas ROI of 6%...
