Businesses face mounting risks from political violence amid a global geopolitical “perma-crisis”, after recent events inflicted approximately $12bn of costs since 2018, according to a report from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS).

A report from the insurer said businesses were increasingly witnessing the impact of protest movements and civil unrest on their operations, and the trend was forecast to grow.
